Job Description
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, corporations, and international organizations, that align with TAF Africa's mission and project goals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and funding agencies, to understand their funding priorities and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prepare high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and fundraising materials tailored to the specific interests and guidelines of potential funders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant project information, data, and budget details to support funding applications.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings, presentations, and networking events to promote TAF Africa's work and build partnerships with potential donors.
- Monitor and track funding opportunities, deadlines, and reporting requirements to ensure timely submission of proposals and compliance with donor regulations.
- Provide support and guidance to project teams on fundraising strategies, donor communication, and grant management best practices.
- Assist in developing and implementing fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives to engage donors and raise awareness about TAF Africa's impact.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions, fundraising activities, and grant awards using any relevant software or other tracking systems.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for management on fundraising progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Any other duties assigned.
Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, International Development, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, grant writing, or related fields, preferably in the nonprofit sector or real estate industry.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify funding opportunities and assess their alignment with organizational priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, compelling grant proposals and fundraising materials.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders, and to work effectively in a team environment.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with relevant software or other database management systems.
- Knowledge of fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and best practices.
