Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure performance assurance and proactive health checks of the associated components of (HIMA Logic Solver)


• Ensure periodic health checks on Human Machine Interface workstations and Servers. Systems fault diagnosis and recovery.


• Access and interpret Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID); Cause and Effects Matrix (C&E); Process Flow Scheme


• (PFS); Functional Logic Diagram (FLD); Instrument Loop Drawings (ILD) and Process Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS)


• required for fault tracing and issue resolutions.


• Work closely with service Contractor(s) towards safe delivery of vendor-based maintenance jobs.


• Initiate and follow up with spares procurement towards expedited delivery for maintenance execution.


• Ensure technical integrity of assets through Preventive and Corrective Maintenance activities, quality assurance and performance standard verification of safety-critical equipment


• Technically support Operations personnel towards plant safe operations.


• Ensure field instrumentation availability and reliability towards meeting business targets on hydrocarbon processing and export operations.


• Maintain Systems availability for the continuous operation of the Flow station and Gas plant.


• Identifying critical spares and follow-up ordering and delivery.


• Integrate with other disciplines to achieve Asset integrity continuously.


• Promotes site safety and continuous hazard identification, mitigation and close-out.


• Other assignments for continuous improvements as exigent.

Work Cycle

• The work location is a land-based (Gbaran Ubie integrated Gas plant) accessible via land and Air.


• The job activity period is daily on a 12-hour (7 am to7pm) routine over 14 days.


• There is a standard 2weeks on and 2weeks off schedule.


• The successful candidate will manage their absences with his/her contractor for suitably qualified covers.


• There may be a need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for training and official assignments.


• Personnel may be required to work extended hours as the need may arises

Academics

• B.Eng / HND in Electrical / Electronic / Computer Engineering.


• Age < 45years.

Work Experience

• 7-10 years of work experience in Instrumentation within the oil and gas Industry.


• Vendor Specific System Engineers’ Competence Level certification will be an added advantage.

Skills:

• Mastery/Proficiency in Field Instrumentation PM & CM for both HART and Fieldbus communication protocols


• Experience in CAO/SCADA/ PLC (Allen Bradley)


• Experience in Control Loop design, Implementation, and commissioning


• Experience in actuator valves and ESD systems maintenance


• Experience in PAS and fire protection systems Maintenance


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Mastery/Proficiency in Engineering and Maintenance of HIMA systems


• Mastery/Proficiency in Engineering and Maintenance of Delta V systems.


• Experience in Control System Maintenance


• Basic Knowledge of PI System

Soft Skills (Added advantage):

• Strong Communication & interpersonal relationship skills


• Proficiency in Onsite risk management.


• Proficiency in the use of MS Tools and SAP.
