Job Description
We are now looking for a Procurement Officer to join our Operations team and report to the Operation Manager. As our Procurement Officer you are responsible for the management of all procurement within our Lagos site, ensuring that production items and fabrics are sourced, purchased and available for our team in a timely and efficient manner.
Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all activities of the purchasing department.
- Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, supplies and fabrics.
- Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving supplies to be purchased.
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
- Meeting with Suppliers
- Occasional trips to the market to find new suppliers and purchase supplies required
Requirements:
- Academic qualification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office however training will be provided
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Attention to detail.
