Role overview

• The incumbent will work to ensure the end product meets the product specification, while meeting production deadlines.

Job Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities

• Operate machinery and maintain the printing press, ensuring product specifications and deadlines are met


• Check printed material for proper compliance with design concept, colour and other aesthetics


• Adapt fluidly to all phases of the manufacturing processes


• Ensure proper maintenance, safety, and functionality of all equipment


• Handle the production of printed materials, as well as the packaging process, to ensure it meets approved specifications and is ready on schedule


• Adhere to quality management processes, to guarantee approved quality and excellence for every product


• Troubleshoot equipment issues, and escalate to the production lead promptly.


• Adhere to relevant health and safety regulations when operating machinery and handling products


• Ensure work areas and the production floor clean, are free from hazardous material


• Adhere to operational procedures and production timelines


• Carry out periodic stock checks, and send inventory to the production lead


• Work with the production lead to manage budgets, and send expense reports periodically.

Professional Requirements

• OND/TRADE CERT in a relevant field


• An understanding of basic printing technologies


• Minimum of 2 years proven work experience in similar role


• Proficiency in operating relevant materials and machinery


• Ability to interpret and understand complex design concepts.
