- The purpose of the Performance Management Specialist is to develop and execute programs and projects to evaluate, measure, and improve employee performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and implementation of company- wide performance appraisal programs.
- Provide advice and recommendations to management and employees.
- Oversee the development and implementation of agency core competencies, core values, and key performance measures into performance appraisal system.
- Develop and conduct presentations and training to management on the performance appraisal system.
- Develop and conduct presentations and training to staff on the performance appraisal system.
- Conduct assessments and gap analysis on employee skills and training.
- Develop and implement performance improvement plans.
- Assess various staffing needs to determine methods to address current and future conditions, including retention management, realignment, recruitment planning, and career development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2.2/Upper Credit Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Social Science, Arts & Humanities and other related field.
- 2 years’ experience in performance management.
- Sound knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and statutes.
- Best practices relating to employee performance management.
- Knowledge of human resources management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of workforce planning, succession planning and strategic planning.
- Effectively communicating, both orally and written.
- Knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Critical thinking to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and recommend effective solutions.
- Ability to develop and use of work simplification methods and statistical procedures.
