JOB SUMMARY


The chief security officer (CSO) will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic security program for the company and managing the physical security of the company assets. Oversee the management of physical security measures, including access controls, CCTV systems, and security personnel. Develop and maintain incident response plans, ensuring timely and effective responses to security breaches. Manage records, documentation, and reporting to demonstrate compliance and facilitate audits


JOB DESCRIPTION



  • Develop, implement, and regularly update the organization's security strategy and policies.

  • Ensuring that the company’s security policies comply with Federal Laws and Legislations.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

  • Develop and execute risk mitigation plans to address identified risks.

  • Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including physical security, access control, and surveillance systems.

  •  Manage security personnel, contractors, and vendors.

  • Develop and implement crisis management and response plans to address emergencies, including natural disasters, accidents, and security incidents.

  • Implement training programs to educate employees on security best practices and emergency response procedures.

  • Working with management to develop and implement an appropriate budget for the security program.

  • Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

  • Conduct or oversee investigations into security incidents, breaches, and violations.

  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary 

  • Evaluate, implement, and manage security technologies, such as surveillance systems, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems. 

  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security.


JOB EXPERIENCE



  • A bachelor’s degree in safety management or a similar field. 

  • Ex-service in Military or paramilitary.

  • At least 5 years’ experience working as a Security Manager

  • Proficiency in information management systems and knowledge of cybersecurity. 

  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Exceptional managerial skills and the ability to lead a team. 

  • Ability to research and stay up to date with security trends, as well as changing government and state laws.
