Our client, an esteemed eye clinic located on the island, is seeking a talented and experienced Accountant to join their team. As the Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the clinic, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining financial integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the clinic's financial accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, adhering to accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the clinic's financial performance.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to facilitate annual audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard clinic assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and projections to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with management and department heads to provide financial guidance and support for business initiatives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in accounting and finance.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a healthcare or medical setting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels.
- Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
