Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for pharmaceutical items and consumables to meet the needs of the hospital.

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing agreements.

  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality, availability, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including physicians, pharmacists, and administrators, to understand their procurement needs and requirements.

  • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.

  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  • Manage inventory levels and optimize stock replenishment to minimize shortages and excess inventory.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines governing the procurement of pharmaceutical products.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • Supervise and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on pharmaceutical items and consumables.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing procurement operations in a hospital or healthcare setting.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, including drug classifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms and pricing agreements.

  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as MS Office applications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team building, mentoring, and professional development
