Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available


• Prepare patients for surgery, including administering medications and ensuring all pre-operative procedures are completed


• Monitor patients' vital signs during surgery and assist with post-operative care as needed


• Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room and adhere to infection control protocols


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes


• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices and advancements in perioperative nursing care

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Nursing


• Valid nursing license from the Nigerian Nursing and Midwifery Council


• Proven experience working as a Theatre Nurse, preferably in a surgical setting


• Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team


• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care
