Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for a Counselor.


• The Counselor will be responsible for providing a counseling service for individuals needing counseling. Duties will include meeting with clients, assessing their needs, and creating individualized treatment plans involving therapy sessions, workshops, and other interventions.


• The Counselor will also document progress, develop aftercare plans, and work collaboratively with other mental health professionals who may be involved in the client's care.


• Duties will also include tutoring and grading student's assignments as well as managing organizational events and liaising with partners.

Qualifications

• Candidate should possess a degree in Counseling or a related field


• A master's degree is an added advantage


• First-degree with ample experience will be considered


• MUST BE LIVING IN OR AROUND LAGOS ISLAND


• Digital and marketing skills are mandatory


• Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in counseling


• Should have experience with various counseling approaches and techniques


• Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to connect with diverse individuals from different backgrounds


• Should have strong listening skills and be able to understand and empathize with clients


• Must show a commitment to professionalism and possess a high level of ethical standards


• Should have experience working with NGOs or similar organizations


• Certification from recognized counseling and psychotherapy professional bodies is an added advantage
