Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor power generation equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electricity production.


• Respond to changes in electricity demand by adjusting controls and optimizing plant operations.


• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on power generation equipment, including alternators, transformers, and motors.


• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.


• Maintain accurate records of plant operations, performance data, and maintenance activities.


• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, beverages, or packaging industry.


• Strong understanding of power plant operations, including principles of alternator washing, transformer function, substation changeover procedures, basic field electrical principles, and motor preventive maintenance practices.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address equipment issues.


• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.


• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
