Operate and monitor power generation equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable electricity production.
Respond to changes in electricity demand by adjusting controls and optimizing plant operations.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on power generation equipment, including alternators, transformers, and motors.
Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of plant operations, performance data, and maintenance activities.
Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications
BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, beverages, or packaging industry.
Strong understanding of power plant operations, including principles of alternator washing, transformer function, substation changeover procedures, basic field electrical principles, and motor preventive maintenance practices.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and address equipment issues.
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
