We seek a Community Engagement Assistant as a vital link between our organization, the community, and Mubi North and South beneficiaries.
Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between Bincike International and the community members in Mubi North and South.
Engage with community members to understand their needs, concerns, and priorities.Work closely with Protection Case Workers to identify and prioritize support for beneficiaries.
Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and events to promote engagement and awareness of available support services.
Conduct outreach activities to ensure all community members are aware of and can access Bincike International's programs and services.
Assist in developing and implementing community engagement strategies and action plans.
Support and guide beneficiaries in accessing and navigating available support services.
Collect feedback from community members and beneficiaries to inform program development and improvement efforts.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of community engagement activities and beneficiary interactions.
Collaborate with other staff members and partner organizations to coordinate and deliver comprehensive support to beneficiaries.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Community Development, International Relations, or a related field.
Fluency in English, Hausa, and other local languages (written and spoken) is required.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Commitment to promoting and upholding the values and mission of Bincike International.
Previous experience working in community engagement, outreach, or related roles.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, building rapport and establishing trust with diverse communities.
