Job Description
We are currently hiring for the role of Business Development Officer. The Business Development Officers will be responsible for identifying business opportunities and potential clients, creating various strategies for the purpose of growing the client database and expanding the business, managing client relationships and ultimately driving revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Promoting the company's existing brands and introducing new products and services to the market.
- Researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans, understanding consumer requirements, identifying market trends, and suggesting system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.
- Gathering, investigating, analyzing and summarizing market data and trends to prepare reports and to develop insights and strategies for business growth.
- Implementing new sales plans and advertising.
- Maintaining relationships with clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
- Staying current in the industry by attending educational opportunities, conferences, and workshops, reading publications, and maintaining personal and professional networks.
- Collaborate with the team to create marketing campaigns and promotional materials and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients and liaise with third-party marketing agencies to drive business growth.
- Provide regular reports on business development activities and progress.
- Work with the team to create monthly reports containing a robust description of monthly activity, suitable advice and recommendations and a clear summary of performance against the key performance indicators and metrics.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Marketing,
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or HND qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or any related course.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Cross-functional skills to collaborate with different teams and departments.
- Experience in the telecommunications sector is an added advantage.
