Overview of the Role

• The role of a teacher is to inspire, motivate, encourage and educate learners. Learners can be of any age and from any background.

Relationships:

• This is a positive relationship between the teacher and the student in efforts to gain trust and respect from each other.


• This relationship may consist of getting to know your students better, providing choice and encouraging the students to become stronger learners every day.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that align with the school's curriculum


• Provide individualized attention and support to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment


• Assess student progress and performance through a variety of methods, such as exams, projects, and presentations


• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies


• Communicate regularly and effectively with students' parents or guardians regarding their academic progress and development


• Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and school events


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and grades

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and differentiate instruction accordingly


• Strong organizational and time management skills


• Proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is a plus)


• Good understanding of cultural differences and willingness to navigate and embrace diversity

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field


• Valid teaching certification


• Proven 5-10 years of experience teaching in an international school or working with diverse student populations


• Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum and teaching methods.
