Global Profilers is a Recruitment & HR Services firm specializing in recruitment in Africa; we are currently looking for a Generator Electrician for our client; an agricultural company in Ibadan, Oyo State

Job Summary

The required candidate should be able to troubleshoot and repair alternating current electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches, generator controls and engine-related mechanical failures; and perform routine preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes and inspections on all generator and by-pass pumps.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working on generator sets, generator control panels & switchboards


• Troubleshooting and diagnostics on generators up to 2,500KVA


• Modifying wiring looms/diagrams


• Installing & Commissioning new generator systems, transfer switches &; fuel systems


• Working closely with other members of the Service team


• Completing all work with a high focus on safety & reliability


• Perform preventive maintenance on All electrical components


• Inspect, maintain, repair, and overhaul electromechanical equipment, using a variety of electrical test equipment, meters, powered and non-powered tools and equipment.


• Perform high-voltage switching and operate emergency generators in support of operations.


• Maintain tools, order, and track inventory for repairs. Test circuits and replace or install new


• power, lights, electronic and control circuits


• Perform a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical power.


• Comply with Sayed Farms policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safe workspace.


• Perform all work in compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety, and environmental regulations.


• Perform other duties as may be requested by management from time to time.

Required Experience &Skills

• ND / HND / B.Engr. and other related qualifications in disciplines related to the advertised position.


• Minimum 6 years cognate experience.
