The Internal Auditor is responsible for tracking the companys cash flow and accounting processes to ensure that they are being recorded and processed correctly.
They are also responsible for the identification and control of risks to the company by ensuring that all processes meet both local and international standards.
Responsibilities
Perform and control the full cycle including risk management and control management over the operations effectiveness, financial responsibility and compliance.
Review accounting controls by recommending modifications to accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
Detailed execution of internal audit checks for stocks, receivables, payables, cash, and non-current assets.
Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality, and goal achievement.
Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings.
Document processes and prepare audit findings memorandum on specific issues which shall be presented to the management on a case-by-case basis.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance or any other related field.
Minimum of 7 years of cognate experience in financial accounting, auditing, or a combination of both, with at least 5 years of experience in core Internal Audit functions.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is required.
