The IT Officer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the computer systems and networks of Firmus; as well as installing and configuring all necessary software and applications for operational efficiency, security and improved functionality.
Thereby ensuring the smooth running of all computer systems and networks in Firmus across all locations and ensuring employees can effectively use them to perform their duties and responsibilities.
Work with the CEO to set up and maintain new users’ accounts, profiles and their passwords on Outlook, Skype and other necessary applications as well as software;
Take care of software and network systems, maintenance of databases and evaluating new technology for further improvement of the overall working of Firmus
Look after the organization’s security and anti-virus updates as well as conducting safety checks on all computer systems and equipment;
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications;
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks;
Ensure internal security is not breached and customers’ details are not leaked;
Assist staff through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues;
Troubleshoot systems and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults;
Recommend repairs, replacements and adjustments for computer systems when required;
Provide Firmus EXCO with advice and support on IT-related issues;
Perform ad-hoc projects as requested in line with fixing of unsatisfactory IT conditions, improvements in operations and reduction in costs;
Performs research to ensure the improvements in the functionality of computer systems and networks;
