Job Overview



  • Benel Energy Resources Limited is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team.

  • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment within our facilities.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

  • Coordinate with vendors for mechanical and electrical parts.

  • Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records. 

  • Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot mechanical components such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and valves.

  • Utilize precision tools and instruments to measure, cut, weld, and fabricate mechanical parts as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at all times, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with industry standards.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and maintenance personnel as required.

  • General Services and facility maintenance.

  • Stay informed about advancements in mechanical technology and best practices to enhance job performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.


Requirements:



  • Ond/Hnd or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical engineering or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment.

  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

  • Hands-on experience with precision tools, welding equipment, and machinery.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with established procedures and regulations.
