Job Summary
The aim of the scope registration will be to support the implementation of livelihood and nutrition program in Shani. The enumerators will be involved in Scope Registration while ensuring that the process is carried out effectively, efficiently and with dignity to the beneficiaries
Description of Task
- Lead in regular community/partner sensitization or mobilization activities to livelihood and nutrition beneficiaries geared towards creating awareness on the IMC livelihood and nutrition program activities in Shani including beneficiary enrollment eligibility and targeting process.
- Actively participate in formation of targeting committees within the communities of nutrition and livelihood implementation sites.
- Participate in the formation of targeting criteria and the targeting process while ensuring that the process is credible.
- Carry out spot checks on the targeted beneficiaries to certify that the process was well done.
- Prepare and participate in scope registration of all targeted beneficiaries.
- Carry out MUAC screening for all children and record them during the scope registration.
- Carry out referrals of children with SAM and MAM to respective programs covered under IMC and other partners.
- Prepare regular reports on the progress of the various stages of the targeting and registration process.
Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse
Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
Compliance & Ethics:
Promotes and encourages a culture of compliance and ethics throughout International Medical Corps. As applicable to the position, maintains a clear understanding of International Medical Corps’ and donor compliance and ethics standards and adheres to those standards. Conducts work with the highest level of integrity.
Qualifications and Experience:
- National Diploma or Equivalent.
- Fluency in speaking and understanding English, Kanakuru, Bura and Hausa.
- Commitment to and understanding of IMC’s aims, values and principles.
Key Competencies:
- Strong communication skills: oral, written and presentation skills.
- Should be a team player and culturally sensitive.
- Literate and able to fill in the data tool.
- Willing and motivated to take on the role and have no plans to travel outside of their community soon.
- Willing to work as a volunteer with a strong desire to serve their communities and neighbourhood.
- Extremely flexible and have the ability to cope with stressful situations.
