Job Summary



  • The Market Researcher will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research and analysis of cosmetics, market trends, and consumer behavior.

  • The primary objective of the role is to provide insights that will inform strategic decision-making for the development and launch of new cosmetics products, as well as to enhance the performance of existing products.


Responsibilities



  • Carry-out market research in the assigned areas

  • Construct and maintain a central database for recording market data. You will be expected to monitor the quality of the data, continually implement improvements.

  • Build out internal communication channels to keep the wider business updated with market news

  • Consistently exercise independent judgement and discretion in research matters

  • Prepare and submit regular reports that summarizes findings in a digestible, graphical, and actionable manner

  • Support research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.

  • Understand customer expectations on to-be manufactured products.

  • Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.

  • Support to hire and develop R&D personnel.

  • Support in the research, design and evaluating materials, assemblies, processes, and equipment.

  • Document all phases of research and development.

  • Manage customer relationships and perform reviews, customer visits, and product testing.


Requirements



  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably within Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Communications, or Marketing or any other relevant field

  • 2 years of experience minimum in cosmetic industry.

  • Excellent IT skills across the Microsoft desktop suites and the following:

  • Statistical software packages:{SPSS, SAS, R or Stata.

  • Database manipulation SQLand CRM management.

  • Advanced data visualization methods: Tableau, Business Objects

  • Excellent spoken and written communication and the tenacity to hold an argument.

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, with people of all levels.
