Job Description



Main Functions



  • The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the warehouse and procurement processes of the company.

  • He shall develop and ensure the existence of approved warehouse operational procedures that address storage requirements, utilization, space management, access control and gate pass process management and shipping methods.

  • He shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations which shall include vendor selection, negotiations, and contract management, coordinating and managing ordering, receipting, assembling, and storing as well as managing store items issuance for internal use and sales to the public as may be approved by management.

  • He, together with his team, plays a critical role in ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

  • He shall maintain a safe and healthy work environment and enforce standards and procedures for efficient warehouse operations.


Highlights and Objectives



  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-savings opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with organizational goals.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.

  • Evaluate and recommend process improvements to streamline procurement operations.


Major Dutie and Responsibilities



  • Take responsibility for overseeing, receiving, warehousing and distribution operations.

  • Develop warehouse operational procedures such as storage requirements, utilization, inventory, gate processes and shipping methods that guarantee the safety and optimal conditions of store items.

  • Supervise daily warehouse activities including quality assurance, space management, productivity, inventory management, inventory shipping, and customer service.

  • Oversee and manage logistics for moving products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and logistics partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages.

  • Overseeing the purchasing of all approved requisitions for goods and services which the company requires. Identify and profile suppliers, onboard vendors, negotiate terms and agreements with these suppliers and manage contracts with vendors and suppliers.

  • Conduct vendor and suppliers’ performance evaluation periodically, foster positive vendor relationships and resolve issues and disputes that may arise.

  • Evaluates suppliers, select vendors, liaise with legal for contract drafting and ensures compliance with the terms of agreement.

  • Ensure that the company gets the best possible terms and conditions for the purchased goods or services. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable agreements.

  • Ensure that all purchase requisitions for goods and services are executed in a timely manner.

  • Ensure timely purchase of goods and services.

  • Coordinates logistics for movement of purchased items.
