Job Description

This job role coordinates switching operations within the region to manage the energy allocated in line with SLA.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; A post graduate qualification in power systems engineering or equivalent will be an added advantage


• Over 3 years’ Experience as a Dispatch Officer.

Technical competencies

• Technical knowledge and understanding of the Business Hub networks & infrastructure.


• Deep understanding of principles and power distribution operations.


• Good technical knowledge in switching operation


• Good knowledge of materials used in electrical power systems.


• Safety and basic standard protection


• Proficient in the use of computers (MS Office application).


• Personal safety on the job awareness level.


• Understanding of electrical distribution Regulations and system

Job Responsibility

• Co-ordinates the operation of all Network Activities in the Region.   


• Maintains daily operating log on all operations both routine and emergencies.  


• Receive hourly load readings from the Business Hub and report all operations to the HQ dispatch.


• Liaise with relevant stakeholders in load coordination.


• Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.   


• Perform any other duty as requested by the Network Operations Head and TM
