This job role directs the switching operations within the Business Hub to manage the energy allocated in line with SLA
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Over 3 years’ Experience as an operator in Technical Operations
Technical competencies
- Technical knowledge and understanding of the Business Hub networks & infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of principles and power distribution operations
- Good knowledge of materials used in electrical power systems.
- Safety and basic standard protection
- Personal safety on the job awareness level.
- Understanding of electrical distribution Regulations and system
Job Responsibility
- Directs the operation of all Network Activities in the Business Hub.
- Maintains daily operating log on all operations both routine and emergencies.
- Receive hourly load readings from the Control Room and report all operations to the regional dispatch.
- Approves outages on 11kv feeders.
- Liaises with relevant stakeholders in load coordination.
- Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform any other duty as requested by the Technical Engineer or the Supervisor
