  • We are currently seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Post Contract Department. In this role, you will work closely with senior surveyors and project managers to support post-contract activities and cost estimation processes.

  • The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring accurate project cost management and financial control throughout the construction lifecycle.


Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with senior surveyors and project managers to support post-contract activities, including valuation of work done, variation assessments, and final account settlements.

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of project cost reports, including cost forecasts and cash flow projections.

  • Conduct site visits and measurements to gather data for cost estimation and progress evaluation.

  • Assist in the preparation of bills of quantities and cost estimates for construction projects.

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documentation to ensure accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations.

  • Maintain accurate records of project expenditure and cost allocations.

  • Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to gather necessary documentation and information for cost evaluation.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying and cost estimation.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying

  • 3-5 years of experience in quantity surveying

  • Proficiency in quantity take-off techniques and cost estimation software.

  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Knowledge of Nigerian construction standards and regulations is preferred.

  • Professional certification or membership with relevant industry bodies is a plus.
