Responsibilities



  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the finance and general services functions, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives and growth strategy.

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities, driving efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in financial management processes.

  • Manage the company's accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Lead the development and implementation of internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

  • Direct tax planning and compliance efforts, working closely with external advisors and tax authorities to optimize tax efficiency and minimize risk.

  • Drive cost accounting initiatives to analyze and optimize the company's cost structure, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

  • Chair the finance committee and prepare regular management reports; also provide insights to the board of directors, advising on strategic financial decisions and risk management issues.

  • Collaborate with other functional leaders to develop and execute business growth initiatives, leveraging financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.

  • Mentor and develop finance and general services staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company's value chain, identifying opportunities to enhance value creation and drive sustainable growth.


Qualifications



  • A minimum of 2:1 Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any other related discipline

  • Must be ACCA / ACA qualified

  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.

  • Ability to multitask and work across different businesses covering different sectors.
