Job Description



Our client a fintech company in search of a trustworthy and highly competent Accountant to join our growing Finance team to drive all Accounting and Book-Keeping functions of the Company.


You will work with large amounts of numerical data, handle multiple tasks with deadlines, and provide transparent and complete reports to management. You should have a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and verbal and written communication skills.


Working hours: 9am - 6pm 


Salary: 300,000


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage all accounting transactions

  • Prepare budget forecasts

  • Publish financial statements on time

  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information

  • Review, prepare and ensure timely payments by verifying documentation, requesting

  • disbursements and determine relevant applicable taxes

  • Compute taxes and prepare tax returns

  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

  • Prepare reports on financial health and liquidity by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information and trends

  • Recommend financial actions and strategies by analysing accounting options/information

  • Audit financial transactions and documents

  • Reinforce financial data confidentiality and security, and conduct database backups

  •  Comply with financial policies, internal controls and regulations

  • Guides junior Finance Team Members, coordinating activities and answering questions

  • Fulfil day to day finance and administrative duties of the Department


Skills & Qualifications



  • 3-5 years experience working as a qualified Accountant

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from a reputable educational institution (in Accounting, Finance or

  • Business discipline is preferred)

  • Experience in FinTech

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures

  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS

  • Knowledge and advanced working experience of Excel

  • Knowledge and working experience of Quickbooks or any relevant Accounting Software.

  • Able to work effectively and productively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical skills to monitor, measure and report

  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organised

  • Confident with a strong sense of judgement

  • Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines independently and as part of a Team
