Job Summary:
The required candidate should be able to receive, store and issue materials, supplies, tools and equipment and maintain accurate records pertaining to store transactions. The experienced Senior Storekeeper/Warehouse Officer should also ensure all documentations related to responsibility are accurately processed, distributed and released to all concerned in a timely manner. Ensures all responsibilities are complied with any company policy, systems, and industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and plan the work of storeroom and delivery personnel through subordinate supervisors
- Analyze, review and correct detailed purchase requisitions, orders, or invoices
- Plan and effectively use central and satellite storeroom space to store large quantities of supplies and materials
- Through subordinates, supervises the work of storekeeper/warehouse personnel in storing and arranging items in the storekeeper/warehouse
- Ability to determine items to be surplused and sent to e-waste
- Direct storeroom personnel in locating and ordering highly specialized nonstandard items or high-volume ordering responsibilities
- May be responsible for issuing and balancing accounts for large amounts of petty cash
- Monitors/inspects shop machines/equipment to ensure they are in proper working order and addresses repairs, or replacements as needed.
- Independently plans use of storage space and determines whether items should be stored at central or outlying facilities.
Required Experience & Skills
- Past or current working experience at a managerial level - Finished Goods to be précised.
- B.SC/HND in accounting or any other related disciplines
- Minimum of 8 years cognate experiences;
- Certification in warehousing or supply chain will be an added advantage;
- Inventory management skills
