Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief General Manager of Maintenance to oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities within the Dangote Cement Plc. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of maintenance practices, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of effectively managing maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of equipment.


• Manage and supervise a team of maintenance professionals, including technicians, engineers, and support staff.


• Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and availability of machinery.


• Coordinate with other departments to optimize maintenance schedules and minimize production interruptions.


• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.


• Monitor and analyze maintenance performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.


• Oversee the maintenance budget and control costs while maximizing productivity.


• Stay up-to-date with advancements in maintenance technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance maintenance processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.


• Minimum of 27 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a heavy industry.


• Strong leadership and people management skills.


• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.


• Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies.


• Good understanding of safety and environmental regulations.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.


• Proficiency in maintenance management software is a plus.
