Job Description



Responsibilities



  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to assess project requirements and design customized solar power systems, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, mounting structures, and balance of system components.

  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations to determine optimal system configurations, energy output estimates, and financial projections

  • Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications for solar installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of solar energy systems, conducting inspections and troubleshooting as needed.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, and planning, to coordinate project activities, resolve technical issues, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Track projects and give timely updates and reports

  • Design solar inverter systems to meet clients' power/energy requirements.

  • Conduct engineering site audits to collect structural, electrical, and related site information for use in the design of solar power systems.

  • Review specifications and recommend engineering changes to achieve solar design objectives.

  • Create or interpret the solar panel installation plans, mapping out the steps of the installation and where all of the components will be installed.

  • Coordinate with the OHS coordinator and investigate all reported incidents (near-misses and accidents) Perform electrical work needed to connect the solar system to the electric grid. This includes proper grounding systems, controls and all testing necessary.


Requirements



  • B.Eng, B.Tech or HND in Electrical or Electronics Engineering/physics/Mechatronics Engineering or any other relevant fields.

  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in similar role.

  • Must demonstrate good practical knowledge for the role.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong communication skills.
