Job Description
- As part of the aggressive growth and expansion target of the company, we are expanding our smart metering business to offer our state-of-the-art smart metering systems to a wider market. Our smart metering systems offer multi-tenanted apartment and commercial buildings the ability to accurately and efficiently capture, monitor, and manage the power, gas and water usage of the tenants.
- Also, with our world-class custom-built software-as-a-service energy management systems, our clients are provided with several features such as prepaid/post-paid metering systems, remote and online vending, remote trip on/off, energy usage dashboards with attractive and interactive charts, periodic customizable reports and several other features.
- As a Technical Sales Executive, you will be a member of the sales team of the metering business of the company, and take an active role in driving the expansion of this arm of the company's business under the supervision of a Technical Sales Manager.
- As a person, you must have an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to take initiative with little to no supervision. You must be willing to work in a start-up environment with a small team of innovators and disruptors with the goal of disrupting the energy industry with top-notch solutions and ideas.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify and promote new business opportunities and drive sales for smart metering products.
- Perform demonstrations, training and presentations to help clients discover and understand our smart metering services and products.
- Perform sales visits and meetings with potential clients to determine their needs.
- Build and maintain professional networks.
- Grow customer base and maintain relationships with existing clients and prospects.
- Contribute significantly to ensuring Monthly and Quarterly sales targets are met.
- Prepare tenders, proposals, and quotations, and pursue these to purchase orders.
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts, terms and conditions.
- Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.
- Attend training on the use of current and new products/services.
- Collect and analyse information and data, and prepare sales and other necessary reports.
- Attend trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings.
Requirements
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or any other relevant field.
- You have 2 - 3 years of experience in sales.
- You are conversant with the Nigerian Power Industry and the applicable rules and regulations.
- You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- You have excellent presentation skills.
- You have excellent business negotiation and persuasion skills.
- You are self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong desire to deliver results.
- You have the confidence to use your initiative and to seek out opportunities to improve products, processes and services.
- You have effective written and oral communication skills – to maintain sound relationships with customers, sales partners and colleagues.
- Willingness to travel across Nigeria for projects on short notice.
- Digital Marketing skill is an added advantage.
