Role Description



  • This is a full-time on-site Production and Material Planner role located in Awka, Anambra state. As a Production and Material Planner, you will be responsible for developing and executing production plans while ensuring consistent adherence to quality standards.

  • You will work closely with other team members and departments to coordinate material availability and delivery schedules to support production.

  • You will also monitor and analyze production data to make necessary adjustments to plans in order to meet production schedules.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that production processes run efficiently and effectively in a safe and timely manner.


Key Responsibilities

Production Scheduling:



  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.

  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure the timely completion of manufacturing orders.

  • Monitor and analyze production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.


Material Planning:



  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, ensuring availability for production needs.

  • Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Implement effective inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete stock.


Collaboration and Communication:



  • Work closely with the sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather information on customer demand, market trends, and product forecasts.

  • Communicate production plans and schedules to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment across departments.

  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to address issues and improve overall efficiency.


Continuous Improvement:



  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in production and material planning.


Additional Preference for Onsite Living:



  • We strongly encourage application candidates who are willing and able to live onsite in the factory accommodation in Awka.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Proven experience (>1 year) in production planning, material planning, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience in managerial role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across departments.

  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (preferably Odoo).

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
