Job Summary: 


As a member of the Kyautata Rayuwa project team, you will monitor and report on all project activities in support of Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and constantly works towards improving the impact of its benefits to those we serve.


Roles and Key Responsibilities:



  • Support the coordination and implementation of all food assistance activities respecting CRS protocols and food distribution best practices. 

  • Champion learning with partner staff to ensure they are supported and equipped for efficient and effective project implementation.

  • Ensure program quality through monitoring and reporting on program activities and support relevant data collection for project assessment and evaluation. 

  • In collaboration with the CAT SPO and the procurement team, ensure proper vendors management and key project stakeholders.

  • Document good practices from project implementation and support donor reporting where necessary.


Required Languages - The position requires high level oral communication skills in both Hausa and English.


Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 70% of the time.

  • Observation, active listening, and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment.

  • Good relationship management skills and the ability to work closely with local partners and community members.

  • Attention to details, accuracy, and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.

  • Proactive, results-oriented and service-oriented.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.

  • Experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred.

  • Experience using MS Windows and MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

 Key Working Relationships:



  • Internal: Program Managers, Feedback and Accountability officers, MEAL Officers, CAT Senior Officer.

  • External: Partner staff, Food Assistance vendors, Project participants.


Basic Qualifications



  • High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience in project support. Experience in the field of <Program Area> and for an NGO would be a plus.

  • Additional education may substitute for some experience.
