The Truck HDD Helper will assist the HDD operator and crew in various tasks related to equipment setup, drilling operations, and job site maintenance.
Equipment Setup: Assist with setting up and preparing HDD equipment, including drill rigs, support vehicles, and tools, at job sites.
Material Handling: Load and unload drilling rods, drilling fluids, and other materials as needed during drilling operations.
Job Site Support: Provide general assistance to the HDD operator and crew during drilling activities, including pipe handling, mixing drilling fluids, and cleaning equipment.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and the crew.
Site Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site by removing debris, packing up equipment, and restoring the site after completion of drilling operations.
Equipment Maintenance: Assist with basic maintenance and repairs of HDD equipment under the guidance of senior crew members.
Documentation: Record job site activities, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues encountered during drilling operations.
Requirements
Previous experience in construction, drilling, or related field preferred but not required; willingness to learn and work in a physically demanding environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools and equipment used in construction or drilling operations.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
