Major Responsibilities

• The Truck HDD Helper will assist the HDD operator and crew in various tasks related to equipment setup, drilling operations, and job site maintenance.


• Equipment Setup: Assist with setting up and preparing HDD equipment, including drill rigs, support vehicles, and tools, at job sites.


• Material Handling: Load and unload drilling rods, drilling fluids, and other materials as needed during drilling operations.


• Job Site Support: Provide general assistance to the HDD operator and crew during drilling activities, including pipe handling, mixing drilling fluids, and cleaning equipment.


• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and the crew.


• Site Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site by removing debris, packing up equipment, and restoring the site after completion of drilling operations.


• Equipment Maintenance: Assist with basic maintenance and repairs of HDD equipment under the guidance of senior crew members.


• Documentation: Record job site activities, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues encountered during drilling operations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction, drilling, or related field preferred but not required; willingness to learn and work in a physically demanding environment.


• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.


• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).


• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools and equipment used in construction or drilling operations.


• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.


• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.


• High school diploma or equivalent.
