Overview of the Job



  • The job holder is responsible for working closely with clients/customers and their team to grow and promote the sales of laboratory equipment, reagents, MCB Media & Supplements, consumables, test kits, and train users to maximize their products.


Responsibilities



  • Works with team lead to grow and close sales through professional communication with existing and potential clients.

  • Works with team lead to Implement Business Development plans by building corporate relationships with customers and the industry/market leaders.

  • Utilizes sales and marketing tools to create brand awareness in the market.

  • Develops and maintains a database of qualified leads.

  • Introduces improvements in business strategies based on customer feedback gotten from calls, presentations, tenders, and follow-up activities within the team’s coverage.

  • Works with team lead to source, logistics, and supervises items’ delivery to customer site in good condition and within the specified timeframe.

  • Ensures customer satisfaction and customer relationship management.

  • Manages and interprets customer requirements- speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.

  • Communicates sales or service opportunities and customer concerns or suggestions to the team lead.

  • Identifies and resolves client concerns; recommending a course of action to alleviate these concerns in the future.

  • Understands and complies with established guidelines that ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Expands market awareness of the company products and the industry experience by communicating features and benefits of the products and services effectively.

  • Works with the technical team to ensure that customer project requirements meet the company set standards.

  • Maintains records of customer communications and contact information as required.

  • Making/ Attending technical presentations, and webinars as may be requested.

  • Prepares responses to RFP (Request for proposals) and RFI (Request for information).

  • Attends and participates in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events as requested

  • Escalates unresolved/difficult challenges to team lead promptly.


Requirements & Skills



  • Bachelor’s Degree in any related discipline.

  • 3 - 5 years of cognitive experience (consulting and product providing) within the food, education, and healthcare industries.

  • Candidate must have a good understanding of the industry.

  • Candidate must possess a strong passion for sales as well as a leadership mindset.
