Job Description



Job Summary



  • To consult and effectively manage a range of queries from staff and managers concerning terms and conditions and HR policies and practices.

  • Ensure employees are engaged through impactful employee engagement and welfare programmes.


Key Duties and Responsibilities



  • Receiving and effectively handling employee complaints, and escalating these complaints to the relevant authorities.

  • Proactively develop and obtain approval for welfare plans and activities that will improve staff working conditions and environment.

  • Implement policies, programs and procedures related to Employee relations.

  • Coordinate the exit interview processes for staff.

  • Supervise leave management for staff.

  • Ensure proper review and approval of welfare benefit requests and claims before processing.

  • Investigate complaints of non-acceptable actions and other behaviours.

  • Proactively seek feedback from staff on welfare packages and make appropriate improvement recommendations.

  • Continually research industry best practices and trends on issues related to staff welfare and advise management on possible improvement opportunities.

  • Responsible for the management of expatriates in the company

  • Responsible for coordinating employee events like WorkersDay, Christmas, and Children’s parties. and other related activities.

  • Responsible for the onboarding processes of new hires

  • Preparing letters correspondences for staff such as Introduction letters to banks, embassies  etc

  • Promoting an orderly and friendly environment to increase the productivity of the employees.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head, of HR Operations.

  • Implement data protection policies and practices of Egbin PowerPlc.

  • Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other data protection laws, and data protection policies.

  • Undertake Data Protection Impact Assessment as applicable to curb the risk during data processing operations.

  • Ensure awareness, understanding and application of QHSE policy and application of departmental objectives.

  • Ensure awareness of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 &45001:2018) and the implications of not conforming with the requirements.

  • Understand and identify hazards, risks, environmental aspects, and Impacts as it is related to their jobs.

  • Ensure awareness, understanding and application of QHSE policy and application of departmental objectives.

  • Ensure awareness of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 &45001:2018) and the implications of not conforming with the requirements.

  • Understand and identify hazards, risks, environmental aspects, and Impacts as it is related to their jobs.


Education and Work Experience



  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in humanities, social science, or relevant discipline from an accredited/ reputable university.

  • Minimum of four (4) years’ relevant work experience.

  • Industrial Relations experience in handling employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and labour disputes is highly desirable.

  • Relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
