Job Description



  • The sales manager will be responsible for driving business growth within the organization.

  • He / she will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities within the inbound and outbound logistics industry, manage clients’ relationships and operations, in line with projected income.

  • Improve the current client portfolio.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.

  • Identify potential new clients, engage and convert them to tripping clients.

  • Maintain a healthy profit margin across all clients.

  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure you have a robust pipeline of opportunities.

  • Provide clear and accurate daily / weekly / monthly reports.

  • Set up meetings between client decision-makers and the company’s practice leaders.

  • Prepare documentation required for RFPs.

  • Use professional methods / styles to persuade or negotiate with clients.

  • Devise and implement a strategy for meeting monthly sales performance targets.

  • Effect other assignments as may be delegated by Line Manager.


Qualifications and Experience Required



  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree.

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in sales or business development in the supply chain industry.

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

  • Strong research and critical / strategic thinking abilities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong ethical behavior and proficiency in decision-making.

  • Be able to produce a consistently high level of quality service to clients.

  • Have superior training and presentation skills.
