Position Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have 7-8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the fintech industry.


• As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing our financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and driving strategic financial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.


• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.


• Conduct variance analysis and trend analysis to identify key performance indicators and drivers of financial performance, presenting findings to senior management.


• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.


• Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activities and providing necessary documentation to facilitate the audit process.


• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax filings.


• Continuously evaluate accounting processes and systems to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource allocation.


• Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and other departments to support business objectives and drive financial performance.


• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, providing financial expertise and insights to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.


• 7-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls.


• Prior experience in the fintech industry or a technology-driven environment is highly desirable.


• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.


• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with NetSuite or similar platforms is a plus.


• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.


• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
