Job Description



  • Assists in planning, organizing, and directing water treatment and laboratory operations.

  • Direct, supervise, and evaluate personnel.

  • Recommend and implement division goals and objectives; establish operational standards and methods for water treatment operations; develops and implement related policies and procedures for operational improvement

  • Initiates and directs special studies and investigations to improve and maintain water treatment and production performance.

  • Prepares division annual budget requests; estimates equipment and supply needs based on trends and planned activities; monitors expenditures; provides capital improvement project guidance and cost control.

  • Review and/or upgrade staff training programs to ensure the acquisition of technical skills.

  • Coordinate upgrades, major modifications, and repairs of water treatment and storage facilities with the Facility Maintenance division.

  • Monitor department compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act; manage the water treatment and distribution systems regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee the preparation of required documentation and permit applications, submitting required reports, responding to regulatory actions and ensuring completion of follow-up measures, as needed.

  • Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements.

  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets.

  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.

  • Monitor production to resolve issues.

  • Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.).

  • Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.

  • Ensure output meets quality standards.

  • Enforce health and safety precautions.

  • Report to upper management.

  • Handles customer complaints and inquiries.

  • Ensures product timely delivery.


Requirements and Skills



  • B.Sc / HND in any discipline

  • 2 - 5 years work experience.

  • Must be articulate, intelligent with strong business acumen.

  • Proven experience as water factory manager- minimum of 4 years

  • Deep knowledge of water factory production management

  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations

  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts

  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics.

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Outstanding communication ability

  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.

  • Availability to resume immediately.

  • Must be living in Surulere or close to Surulere, Lagos
