Job Description

• A Pharmacist, or Dispensing Chemist checks, prepares and dispenses medicine to patients according to Physician’s prescriptions or from a range of over-the-counter medication and treatments.


• Their duties include providing advice on a range of medicines and medical equipment, conducting health checks and completing medication reviews.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and checking medication prescribed to the patient


• Identifying potential interactions between drugs and providing information to the patient


• Ordering stock and ensuring that it is kept in appropriate conditions


• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all medication processed through the pharmacy


• Offering advice on dosages, side effects and other aspects of drug interaction


• Delivering community healthcare services such as prescription collection and delivery


• Offering screening programmes for common ailments such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol


• Recruiting, hiring and training staff including overseeing Trainee Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants


• Working with the pharmaceutical staff to maintain a clean, customer-friendly workplace

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree


• 2 - 5 years relevant work experience.
