Assists in the development of new or modified analytical procedures.
Maintains instrumentation in the assigned section, which entails providing problem solving and corrective actions.
Report analytical result directly to those requesting laboratory services.
Maintain cleanliness and stock of the work areas.
Perform chemical and instrumentation analysis on all types of routines.
Chemical analysis utilizing the following techniques: titration, serial dilution, pipetting and distillation.
Instrumental analysis utilizing the following instrumentation UV/VIS spectroscopy, polarimetry, PH, specific conductance.
Generate accurate lab records of task completed and verify the result of other lab personnel.
Provide support in the resolution of production problems, the execution of technical studies, and during laboratory investigations.
Keep the standardization of all laboratory’s volumetric solutions and preparation of all reagent solutions.
Responsible for laboratory safety and GMP/GLP practices.
Interface with other department daily for reporting/recording of data.
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of instrumentation to prepare and analyze a variety of samples.
Communicate with supervisors and respond to analytical requests.
Report all analytical problems to the head of quality control.
To prepare chemical analysis on raw material, bulk intermediate, and finished goods.
Perform trending and review data at defined intervals to assess any adverse trend.
Perform laboratory equipment, and test method validation.
Requirements
A minimum of B.SC/HND degree in pure / industrial/applied chemistry or microbiology or biochemistry / food science from a reputable university.
A minimum of 1- 2 years of experience in a similar field of job or experience in doing chemical analysis by wet method of instrumental method analysis is preferable.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
