A leading engineering company is looking for a Head of Projects will lead the project management team. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of successfully delivering multi-million-dollar projects seamlessly, with a strong emphasis on controlling costs, managing stakeholders effectively (including communities), and achieving excellence in execution.


Job Responsibilities



  • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, engineers, and support staff, providing guidance and direction to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

  • Develop and implement strategies to control costs and optimize project budgets, while maximizing value for the organization and its stakeholders.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, government agencies, local communities, and regulatory bodies, to ensure smooth project execution and mitigate potential conflicts.

  • Drive excellence in project execution by implementing best practices, standards, and processes, and continuously improving project management methodologies.

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and coordination of multi-million dollar projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identify risks and issues, and implement proactive measures to address challenges and ensure project success.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless project integration and delivery.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Prepare and present project status reports, financial forecasts, and performance updates to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the project management team, promoting a positive work environment and professional development opportunities.


Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred

  • Certified Project Management Certificate(s) is mandatory

  • MBA/MSc is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering multi-million dollar projects seamlessly.
