Job Description

Job Purpose:     

• Provide logistics support in the areas of inventory, surveying, and projecting; ordering and pre-staging equipment for deployment.


• Check goods in as they arrive against paperwork to ensure all goods ordered are accounted for.

Core Responsibilities:

• Keeping track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency


• Arranging warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments


• Resolving any arising problems or complaints from customer


• Meeting cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets


• Coordinate all trucking activity for inbound/outbound shipments, including international shipments focusing on proper execution of import/export regulations


• Plans, organized, directs, and reports on all supplier related activities to ensure fulfilment of contract/purchase order requirements


• Inspect and check incoming goods for damage, discrepancies, or defects, reporting any issues to the warehouse manager and coordinating with vendors or suppliers for resolution.


• Ensure compliance to all ISO guidelines and prepare reports to be submitted to government agencies.


• Assist with issuing of all import/export documents


• To complete duties relating to warehousing activities and attend to direct reports' HR issues such as absence, attendance, sick leave


• Ensure efficient daily goods flow operations in the role's area of responsibility according to the Global Service Protocol


• Provide support for inventory management and warehousing activities.

Qualifications

• At least 5-10 years of experience in the logistics, warehouse or inventory field.


• A Bachelor's degree in business, logistics or supply chain management or a related field


• Proven warehouse experience


• Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques


• Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency


• Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data


• Must posses good team skills
