Brief Job Description

• As a CCM Operator at African Steel Mills, your role is integral to ensuring the efficient operation of the Continuous Caster Machine (CCM) by overseeing ladle preparation and maintenance. Reporting to the Shift In-charge of the Caster department, you will be responsible for a range of tasks essential to maintaining ladle integrity, refractory life, and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Inspection of ladle lining condition after each heat.


• Responsible for Fixing of slide gate & ladle nozzles for Carrying heats from Furnaces and partial repairing of equipment’s. To maintain the Ladle refractory records on daily basis.


• To ensure 100% free opening of Ladle at CCM without lancing.


• To achieve ladle lining life and refractory life as per standard & maintain the record on daily basis.


• Responsible for proper cleaning of fix nozzle, slight gate, collector nozzle by lancing & cleaning of Slag from ladle in each heat after cast.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 3 - 8 years work experience.
