Select or recommend sources of supply, as necessary, to ensure effective competition.
Coordinate with quality control personnel on drug product specifications and compliance-related issues.
Solicit bids or quotations, and analyze them for conformity to specified requirements and price, delivery and other considerations such as warranty, maintenance, standardization or compatibility.
negotiate with suppliers based on consideration of all factors.
Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts and amendments; ensure inclusion of complete and accurate specifications, terms and conditions, and the proper documentation of each purchase order or contract file.
Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of any special procurement program assigned to the Unit.
Organize stock re-distribution if necessary.
Support the Team Leader in managing the Unit’s contract with the Procurement Agents.
Ensure that medical products’ stock levels are recorded and appropriately interpreted.
Provide leadership and demonstrate technical expertise in forecasting Sub-Recipient needs for medical products.
Maintain auditable procurement documentation in compliance with ISO standards.
Actively support the Procurement Team Leader in coordinating procurement activities with Project, Operations and Monitoring and Evaluation teams.
