Job Summary:



  • We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fiber Engineer Supervisor to lead our team in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications engineering, with expertise in fiber optics technology and a proven ability to supervise and coordinate teams effectively.


Responsibilities:



  • Supervise a team of fiber engineers and technicians in the design, installation, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.

  • Develop project plans and schedules for fiber optic network deployments, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints.

  • Oversee the selection and procurement of materials and equipment required for fiber optic projects.

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal routes and placement for fiber optic cables.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to quality standards.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards in all fiber optic network activities.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of project progress, including drawings, reports, and inventory records.

  • Stay updated on advancements in fiber optics technology and recommend improvements to enhance network performance and efficiency.

  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among team members.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in fiber optic network design, installation, and maintenance, with at least 2years in a supervisory role.

  • In-depth knowledge of fiber optics technology, including cable types, connectors, splicing techniques, and testing procedures.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members effectively.

  • Excellent project management abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for network planning and design (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS).

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing fiber optic network deployments (e.g., ANSI, ITU-T, NEC)..
