Key Duties and Responsibilities
Receipt of Material:
- The Store Officer ensures that raw materials/finished goods are received and stored in good condition in line with our prescribed SOP in the warehouse.
- He/she determine appropriate storage locations and ensure proper arrangements for stacking.
- Raise Material Received Voucher (MRV) and issue the original copy to the Account department for posting of items received and issued out on ERP (SAGE).
- Issuing of raw materials to production in line with ‘First In First Out’ (FIFO) and ‘First Expire First Out (FEFO). · Updating of Stock Cards.
- Supervise warehouse operatives and out-sourced labourers to prevent stock loss through pilfering.
- Handles supply of goods to customers and transfers to other locations.
- Lead a team and coordinate periodic physical stock counts.
- Physically receive raw materials from vendors and check with Delivery Note, with reference to Purchase Order.
- To Make GRN in SAGE, for the received Material.
- To put TAG to the Material and to make entry of the receipt in the Bin Card.
- Shift the Material to the proper location.
Issue of Material:
- To issue Material to the user department and reconcile with SAGE X3.
- To physically check the Line Balance of the Items in Bin, with reference to the Reservation.
- To make PR in SAP for the stock out Items.
- Making a minimum Stock Items list and follow it up for replenishment.
Inventory control:
- To Receive the Inspected Material from the Receipt section and to place in the proper Bin.
- Updating the Bin card.
- Updating the Storage Location in the SAGE/ Excel.
- Periodical Inventory Stock Taking, making Report, Reconciliation with Books of account.
- Planning for Storage of Material.
- Perform any other related job assigned by Head of Department or Senior Supervisor
Requirements
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools. · Must be conversant with the use of ERP, knowledge of SAGE 1000 ERP or SAGE X3 will be an added advantage.
- Must have good analytical, supervisory and decision making skills & ability to multi-task.
- Minimum Qualification; BSc/HND in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or any related field.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in warehousing, inventory and logistics management.
Skills and Competencies
- Must have experience in Industrial Stores, preferably raw material and finished goods warehousing.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good Communication Skills
