Assist in conducting site assessments, surveys & inspections to identify suitable locations & requirements for solar power installations.
Provide on site support during the installation, testing & commissioning of solar energy infrastructure in humanitarian hubs.
Capacity building:
Participate in training sessions & capacity building workshops to enhance knowledge & skills in solar power system operation, maintenance & troubleshooting.
Provide technical assistance & support to project staff, partners & beneficiaries as needed.
Project reporting
This role will work under the direct supervision of the Humanitarian Hubs Project Coordinator & the National Project Officer.
Key competencies
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy or a related field with four years of relevant professional experience or high school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.
At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in project management support, with a focus on solar energy projects or renewable energy initiatives.
Demonstrated experience working with energy management support, energy monitoring devices & energy efficient appliances.
Experience working with private sector solar companies & equipment suppliers in Nigeria.
Demonstrated expertise in the installation & operation of solar power systems, particularly hybrid systems.
Strong knowledge of energy policies, regulations & market trends in Nigeria, particularly in the humanitarian sector.
Excellent communication, negotiation & interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Proven track record in providing support in the management of complex projects, including budget management, procurement & contractor oversight.
Commitment to humanitarian principles, sustainable development & promoting access to clean energy solutions in crisis affected communities.
