Job Description


As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will play a key role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees within the workplace. You will be responsible for providing a range of occupational health services, including injury and illness prevention, health promotion, and employee education. Additionally, you will collaborate with management and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement programs that support a culture of safety and wellness.


Responsibilities



  • Conducting health assessments and screenings to identify and mitigate occupational health risks.

  • Providing first aid and emergency care for work-related injuries and illnesses.

  • Developing and implementing workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Conducting ergonomic assessments and recommending adjustments to workstations or processes to prevent injuries.

  • Administering immunizations and conducting health surveillance programs as needed.

  • Providing health education and counseling to employees on topics such as nutrition, stress management, and injury prevention.

  • Collaborating with HR, safety officers, and other stakeholders to investigate workplace incidents and develop corrective action plans.

  • Maintaining accurate and confidential health records for all employees.

  • Keeping abreast of relevant occupational health regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.


Requirements and Skills



  • Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN)

  • 1 - 2 years of experience working as a nurse in an occupational health setting.

  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and standards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including electronic health record systems.

  • Excellent communication skills.
