Job Details

• To carry out routine investigations on patient’s specimens on all areas of the laboratory.


• To report all routine tests conducted on the EMR/EHR platform on the computer.


• Ensure Laboratory quality management systems are adhered to at all times.


• To ensure adequate supplies and inventory of reagents, RTKs and consumables are available in the laboratory for use and in the laboratory store by maintaining the company’s inventory records.


• Conduct other routine laboratory analyses on the collected specimens like blood, urine, stool, CSF, semen, swab and other human specimens.


• Sterilization of laboratory materials.


• Full laboratory practice based on microbiological and parasitological analysis, hematology, clinical chemistry analysis using equipment like Mindray hematology analyzer (5 part), Quintus or Sysmex; Chemical Pathology analyzer like Cobas C311, Cobas E411, Microbiology BD Phoenix M50 (Microbial identification & Sensitivity), serological and other screening tests.


• To also ensure the smooth running and functioning of laboratory machines.


• Conduct Quality Assurance (QA). To make sure results obtained from the laboratory are precise and reliable by conducting quarterly Quality Assurance.


• To prepare monthly statistics of all tests conducted in the laboratory department.


• To be prepared to work flexibly outside normal office hours.
