Key Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation tasks.


• Assist in cooking and baking under the supervision of chefs or cooks.


• Set up and maintain workstations according to food safety standards.


• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.


• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils by hand or using dishwashers.


• Store food items properly and rotate stock to maintain freshness.


• Receive and unpack food deliveries.


• Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.


• Follow instructions from chefs, cooks, and kitchen supervisors.


• Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.


• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.


• Physical stamina and endurance to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.


• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
